We would like to share a small (2-minute video) on a charity event that we are supporting. The video also is your chance to “meet” your Outlook team at Standss, to see the people who you have communicated with via email, chat, or phone.
Every year the Standss team donates time and money to children and education-based charities here in Fiji. One of our favorite organizations is the Frank Hilton Organization, an organization dedicated to addressing the needs of children with disabilities and their families in Fiji.
The services that the Frank Hilton Organization provides helps identify disabilities early so that with the appropriate intervention, education and training these children grow and enjoy full lives.
For the last few years, we have participated in their annual fundraising event, the Frank Hilton Wheelbarrow Race. Previously this was an actual race with teams and wheelbarrows running around Suva’s Albert Park (the same park where Australian aviator Sir Charles Kingsford Smith landed during the first trans-Pacific flight from the United States to Australia in 1928).
This year, due to COVID 19, the race had to go virtual.
There is no actual running but they still need to raise funds for the wonderful work that they do including:
- Early Intervention Center
- Hilton Special School
- Hilton House Hostel
- Hilton Physiotherapy Unit
- Hilton Audiology Unit
- Outreach and Community Support
These services are essential in a small country like Fiji where our Government may not have the same resources that larger countries have.
We want to thank our valued customers. It is only through your support and continued use of our software that we can help others by supporting charities such as the Frank Hilton Organization.
As mentioned in the video, (thanks to your support) we are already contributing enough to “get around the island once” and finish the virtual race.
