Are you looking for a way to get Outlook to give you a prompt/pop-up to confirm sending an email to try and prevent sending emails to the wrong people in error?
In this post we will show you how you can do that using an Outlook add-in called SendGuard.
SendGuard for Microsoft 365 has a feature to get users to confirm each recipient and/or attachment before the user is allowed to send the email.
By requiring the user to manually check a box next to each recipient, the chances of accidentally sending an email to the wrong person are reduced. This is especially important for organizations that deal with sensitive or confidential information.
How to set confirmation before sending emails in Outlook?
SendGuard offers two main versions tailored to your Outlook environment:
Web Add-in: Perfect for New Outlook, OWA, Outlook for Mac, and compatible with Outlook for Desktop.
COM Add-in: Specifically designed for Outlook for Desktop.
The SendConfirm module of gets users to confirm recipients and attachments in outgoing emails.
You can get SendGuard to prompt for confirmation:
- On all emails
- Email contains ANY external recipients
- Email contains attachments
- Email contains external recipients AND attachments
