Many productivity gurus say that keyboard shortcuts can save you a lot of time. I don’t use keyboard shortcut too much myself but there are a few that I do find useful. Here’s a list of the main keyboard shortcuts in Outlook.
Let me know what you think is the most useful shortcut by leaving a comment on the blog. My favourite is CTRL-SHIFT-G to add reminders to emails (aside from CTRL-C for copy and CTRL-V for paste).
This list is pretty big… I’ve highlight the ones that I find useful in Red.

DO YOU KNOW OF A SEQUENCE OF KEY STROKES WHICH I MIGHT HAVE HIT BY ACCIDENT WHICH LEAVES DOTS BETWEEN EACH WORD WHEN REPLYING TO EMAILS?
IT ALSO LEAVES A KIND OF “REVERSE Pl” AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH LINE.
IT MAY HAVE HAPPENED BY ACCIDENT WHEN I WAS TRYING TO GET A CAPITAL LETTER TO START OFF A SENT3ENCE IE I COULD HAVE HIT SHIFT AND SOMETING ELSE NEARBY.
THANKS,
BILL
Bill, you must have hit ‘control-shift-8’, which equates to ‘control+*’. This is the shortcut to display paragraph marks and other formatting. you can click it under the Format Text > Paragraph, at the top right, in a new mail message.
Cheers
Guido
Don’t know why it is often the case with MS application: you find everything you don’t need but not what you are looking for. I searched for a keyboard shortcut to “mark a message as junk” in Outlook 2007. Guess what I found: a shortcut to mark a message as “NOT JUNK”. Please help me God!
Whoa! This blog looks just like my old one! It’s on a entirely different subject but it has pretty much the same page layout and design. Excellent choice of colors!
Please tell me how I can go to subject. Tand also close mail with shortcuts. Both suggestions I found do not work. Alt+j to go to subject
